In its development of social objectives EPC TOSCANO LTDA, intends to identify, minimize, control and eliminate, if possible, the harmful effects that could be caused to individuals, the environment, materials, and property elaborating the following initiatives: • Compliance with Colombian legislation which governs occupational health and environmental activities --to provide the necessary economic resources to accomplish the work in occupational health; to establish an occupational health program according to each project and related conditions which will be complemented by an entry and educational program as well as training to detect, prevent and control risks at all corporate levels. • Elaboration and execution of a contingency plan according to the activities to be developed and a system to register incidents, accidents and disclose the lesson learned. • Control of the socio-environmental impact, --seeking to avoid harm to personnel who are involved in EPC TOSCANO LTDA projects, and with the intent to avoid damage to property and third parties. • Satisfaction of customer requirements through continuous improvement. To keep, maintain and protect our employees’ health, the environment and security in working areas through the implementation of the following policies: • To prohibit smoking cigarettes, drinking alcoholic beverages and using psychoactive substances or drugs in predetermined areas. • To disclose to our corporate associates the damage produced by the use of tobacco, both to smokers’ health and non-smokers (who become passive smokers when exposed to tobacco smoke) and the damage caused by of alcohol and drugs. • To create active participation at all company levels to prevent the use of alcohol, psychoactive substances, and drugs. • To prohibit workers from working inebriated, hung over or under the influence of psychoactive substances or drugs, and to establish a series of policies of (punitive actions) for individuals who don’t comply with corporate policy in this area. • To prohibit the possession, consumption and sale of alcohol, cigarettes, and psychoactive substances or drugs on company property. • To stimulate participation in treatment programs by users of tobacco, alcohol and psychoactive substances.
